PJYL Refereeing

The Staffordshire County Senior League and PJYL are delighted to announce a brand new partnership between the leagues. By forming the partnership, the PJYL, a recently awarded Saturday Morning Charter Standard League, will act as a feeder league for Referees into the Saturday afternoon Senior League.

The collaborative partnership will see Chris Jackson and Robert Pritchard  act as Referee Secretary & Mentor to the PJYL, looking to support referees in development, promotion and progression into Adult Refereeing. Chris Jackson commented “Bob Pritchard and I bring a wealth of local football experience to the table and together we can appoint officials to matches in the PJYL and hopefully support and encourage them into a pathway to adult football further down the line” The deal which will take place from the start of 2020-2021 season has the backing of the Staffordshire Football Association .

Daniel Hickinbottom added “This is a fantastic opportunity for referees to take their first steps on the Referee pathway, to progress from mini soccer through to Step 7 with support from very experienced referees and mentors. We commend the leagues and the volunteers for this joined up thinking”
